Through October 31, everyone who joins or renews as a Katy Trail member will be entered for a chance to win one of two gift basket prizes!
Please consider making your membership donation today to support the essentials and amenities you enjoy on the Trail, like beautiful landscaping, water for people and pets, lights, safety signs, security patrols, and more.
The Katy Trail is a clean, safe, and beautiful Trail with your support.
The large Gift Basket includes gift cards and products from Katy Trail Ice House, Harwood restaurants, Katy Trail Station, K18 hair products, Kendra Scott earrings, Hollywood Feed, D Magazine, Bang and 3E energy drinks, Cliff bars, and Katy Trail branded coasters and cups. The Central Market basket is a "Texas" theme basket.
We are delighted to introduce a new sponsor, Realtor Tom Frei / Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate. As the new Katy Trail Dog Stations Sponsor, Tom is covering the annual expenses of dog waste bags on the Trail.
Thank you to Tom and his two companions, Maka and Kiona, for their generous support of the Katy Trail!
Important Trail Safety Reminders
Safety for all users on the Katy Trail is of paramount importance. The Trail is a shared public space, and safety and courtesy make for a positive Trail experience for everyone.
Safety Tips
● Stop, look, and listen for motor traffic before proceeding across the Knox or Harvard crossings.
● Pass others on the left. Just like out on the road, faster Trail users should pass slower users only on the left. Give an audible warning with a bell or call out “Passing on your left!”
● If using earbuds while on the Trail, make sure the volume is low enough that you can still hear others.
Wheels Yield to Heels
● Fast riding is dangerous on the Katy Trail. The speed limit on the Katy Trail is 10 MPH.
Walkers and Runners
● Use the red soft surface to ease up the shared paths traffic, and when merging takes place onto a path, please look both ways to ensure everyone’s safety.
● Do not walk three people across. Walk two across max and single file recommended during peak hours.
● Heads Up! If on your phone, please be aware of your surroundings.
Furry Friends
● When walking or running with your pet, please make sure they’re on a short leash and on your right side. This keeps pets safe while cyclists and others pass on your left.
