Dog Adoptions on the Trail this Saturday
Thanks to the generosity of the Clay Cooley Auto Group, Friends of the Katy Trail holds Dallas Animal Services quarterly dog adoptions on the Trail. The Winter 2024 adoption event will be this Saturday, from 10 a.m to 1 p.m, at Snyder’s Union. Please come by on Saturday to meet a new best friend!
In case of too cold or wet weather, the adoptions event will be moved to that afternoon or the next Saturday, February 17.
March 18 Volunteer Opportunity
Looking for a volunteer opportunity? The Katy Trail Ice House Invitational on Monday, March 18, needs volunteers to work one of two shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This annual charity golf tournament generously benefiting Friends of the Katy Trail is held at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, and the Honorary Chairs are Troy Aikman and Jason Garrett.
Volunteers on the morning shift assist with registration, goody bags, signage, placing items in golf carts, and serving lunch. Volunteers for the afternoon shift assist with taking additional donations, golf cart errands, monitoring the contest holes, and the awards set-up.

Community Reminder on Katy Trail Use
A reminder to Trailgoers and those with local businesses and causes: the use of any part of the Katy Trail to sample or sell a product, hold an event, or hand out information requires a permit from Friends of the Katy Trail.
