Dog Adoptions on the Trail this Saturday
In partnership with Clay Cooley Auto Group and Dallas Animal Services, Friends of the Katy Trail will hold a dog adoption event on the Trail this Saturday, from 9 a.m to 12 p.m, at Snyder’s Union.
Come by on Saturday to meet a new best friend!
Why adopt a DAS dog? All adoptions are free, your pet comes with a free microchip, which serves as your Dallas pet registration, and all dog adoptions come with a free week of training with GoodPup.
New Safety Signs on the Trail
Have you noticed the new merging and speed limit signs on the Trail? It's important to proceed with caution at locations where cyclists and pedestrians meet and share the Trail together, and cyclists must always maintain speed at 10 mph or less.
Friends of the Katy Trail is gearing up for a spring season of fresh beginnings and growth. Look for new Trail plantings, blooming flowers, and fresh mulch enhancing the Trail.
The vibrant blooms of flowering quince shrubs are among the first to grace the Trail in late winter and early spring, with showy flowers loved by Trailgoers, hummingbirds, and bees.
Member Party Save the Dates
Members and prospective members, please save the dates for Friends of the Katy Trail spring parties at two new along-the-Trail locations.
The Katy Trail Spring Member Party (all members invited) is at Lucky Dog Saloon on Wednesday, April 10.
The annual Katy Trail Major Donor Party ($500+ donations) will be held at the beautiful new residential building, The Terminal at Katy Trail, at Fitzhugh and the Trail.
We hope to see you there! Please join or renew as a member to attend and support your Trail. Invitations to follow.
