The Katy Trail’s once-a-year mailing and online outreach to the entire Dallas community – the Spring Support Campaign – kicks off TODAY! This year, we are excited to announce that Brittany and Baxter Underwood are the Honorary Chairs of the spring campaign.
Brittany and Baxter are business and philanthropic leaders in Dallas and devoted supporters of Friends of the Katy Trail.
Baxter joined the Katy Trail Board of Directors in 2023. He is the CEO of Safe Harbor Marinas, the world’s largest boating network. Brittany is the CEO and Founder of the Akola Project. Akola operates a social business designed to empower women in crisis. As a non-profit, Akola reinvests 100% of their profits to support work opportunities, training, social programs and the construction of training centers and water wells in impoverished communities throughout the globe.
Baxter said, “The Katy Trail is a beautiful and welcoming greenspace for all. It is a city-wide gathering place that provides wellness, a nature experience, a sense of belonging in our community, and alternative transportation. We ask all who love and use the Trail to support the important work of Friends of the Katy Trail by making a gift to the Spring Support Campaign."
